SOLD! 1700s Antique Pocket watch signed Romilly Paris, Romilly pocket watch
This is a very beautiful timepiece made in the 1700s is available for sale.
The Enamel dial looks stunning and shows some motives of the sun and the stars.
The movement is signed Romilly Paris and the movement and the inner watch case is numbered.
Romilly lived and worked in Paris in the 1700s and fled to Switzerland and continued to work there. This timepiece is his early work and was made in Paris.
Very rare exemplar.
The glass needs to be replaced by your watchmaker. We could not test the watch as the key is missing, but the movement looks ok and should work. The balance is moving.
These watches were made to run for a week when fully winded.
Spectacular timepiece! Wonderful gift to a watch collector.
